Singer / Songwriter
Timothy Crosby is a guitarist and singer/songwriter playing Americana and country rock throughout the Midwest.
His latest album, released amid the craziness of May 2020, is entitled Make Your Own Fun, and features the singles "Part Of Your Sky" and "Sherman County Jail." Each song craftily written and carefully produced grabs listeners' attention and draws them in with Crosby's relaxed voice and intimate guitar style.
Crosby has developed this cozy, easy-to-get-along-with style by playing over 100 shows a year for several years now. Nearly every weekend he can be found at venues in Illinois, Missouri, and Kentucky playing songs that explore the trials and triumphs of everyday people and ring true to audiences' hearts.
Born in Pana, Illinois, a small farming and former coal mining community near Decatur, Crosby now makes his home in Makanda, Illinois where he harnesses inspiration from the Shawnee National Forest, as well as the characters from a life on the road to create his original songs. The beautiful scenery of southern Illinois, coupled with his love of great songwriters like Steve Earle, Tom Petty, Todd Snider, John Prine, and Chris Knight, keep his creative spark kindled and the songs a-flowing.
With his acoustic guitar in hand, Crosby is capable of performing three hour shows of all original music along with a few choice cover songs. Most often solo, or occasionally with topnotch musician friends sitting in, his love of music and life can be heard and felt on a deeply profound level.
