Taylor Steele

About

Acoustic Americana / Soul / Singer-Songwriter

Taylor Steele uses creative acoustic guitar arrangements and her powerful, soulful voice to play originals and unique versions of songs from singer-songwriters both old and new.

Influenced by a range of artists, from Jimmie Rodgers and Hank, Sr., to Bob Dylan and Bonnie Raitt, to Van Morrison and Gillian Welch, Taylor crafts her songs with a rugged, yet free-spirited style that touches on the blues, psychedelia, and soul music, while remaining rooted in country and Americana.

Starting at the young age of 4, Taylor began singing and performing for people, experiencing the fun and excitement of '50s & '60s Rock 'n' Roll. She soon acquired a guitar and started attending bluegrass jam sessions and writing her own songs. After years of honing her style at open mics and networking with other like-minded musicians, she has found a way to make music the central focus of her life.

In addition to performing as a solo artist, she also fronts Taylor Steele & The Love Preachers who have released an album entitled Searching, available at Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and Bandcamp. Taylor continues to support her local music scene by teach young musicians at TRI Music NFP.
